Upon the death of a family member, confusion over a will is an unnecessary burden in addition to grieving. More people are now preparing a video in which they read their will and explain why certain gifts were made and others not made, leaving no doubt as to the testator’s/testatrix’s intent. Should a disgruntled relative decide to challenge the will, the video can provide compelling proof that the testator was mentally competent and observed the formalities of execution. In many cases, hurt feelings and anger surround the contents of a will. A Video Will allows an individual to give an explanation of the reasoning behind specific wishes and stipulations.
